Meet Susanne

Susanne Martin is an Accredited Play Therapist, holding a postgraduate certificate in therapeutic play skills and a post graduate diploma in play therapy as well as her full accreditation certificate.

Her background in education supports and compliments her work with children. With 18 years experience teaching in a primary school, Susanne has worked with every class level and spent 5 years supporting special educational needs.

She is actively engaged in ongoing clinical work and has thousands of hours of experience with children presenting with a wide range of concerns.

Susanne has further enhanced her training with experts in the play therapy field such as Lisa Dion Synergetic Play Therapy, Paris Good year Brown Nurture House, Dr Sue Jennings Neuro Dramatic Play and Dr. Robert Jason Grant Aut Play, giving her a broad range of experience and insights into the world of a child. She is also a certified creative mindfulness teacher.

Being a mum of 4, she has first hand experience of supporting her own through their developmental stages and all that entails. She is currently undergoing further training with Lisa Dion to become a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist which is further deepening her work.

Susanne offers one to one play therapy sessions for 4 – 14 year olds.

Susanne understands the complexity of parenthood and offers support to parents on their own journey through her parent consultations.

With first hand experience of the needs in schools, Susanne offers support to school staff groups and their parent communities through workshops and talks.

Susanne holds professional membership with Play Therapy Ireland, Play Therapy International and Irish Play Therapy Community Association.
